Shigeru Uchida Matrix Cabinet System
Matrix, a cabinet system based on 90 cm wide bodies, available in two
depths and four heights, which can be connected to increase width. The
bodies include a finishing top and rest on silver grey metal frames.
The bodies can be filled in as suits your needs, using separations,
fixed shelves, doors, and drawers. The fronts (doors and drawers) have
aluminum grips, which accentuate the horizontal and vertical lines of
the system.
The drawers can be ordered in combination with an inner
drawer. Matrix is not only a functional system, but also stands alone
as a designed object. The system is available in a lacquer or in wood
veneer. The Matrix is available in 48 colours and wood veneer. The

The Matrix System is
made from thin standing units with lacquered fixed shelves. This open
pattern can be supplemented with lacquered sides, shelves, back panel
doors, flaps, and drawers, and/or combined with a low plateau. The
system offers a large degree of freedom thanks to the combination of
possibilities of open and closed, deep and shallow and can be adjusted
and altered in a virtually infinite number of ways. The grips can be
positioned both vertically and horizontally.
