Arne Jacobsen Swan Sofa
Designed for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958 by Arne Jacobsen -
for the suites, lounges and the Panoramic room at the 21st floor. An
outstretched 2-seater version of the Swan chair covered in different
types of leather or fabric and resting on an aluminium shaker base.
The
shell is made of polyurethane with glass fibre reinforcement. It is
upholstered with cold-cured foam and covered with fabric or leather.
The shaker base is made of moulded aluminium. The two parts of the base
are connected with an aluminium rail, which is screwed onto the bottom
of the sofa with 2 M6 screws in each shaker base. The feet are provided
with synthetic black-grey leg ferrules.

Standard fabric for the Swan is Kvadrat Hallingdal (70% pure, new wool
and 30% viscose), Tonus (90% pure new wool and 10% nylon), Bass (92%
worsted wool and 8% nylon) as well as Topas (100% pure worsted wool)
and leather.
