Nanna Ditzel Trinidad Chair
Trinidad is one of Nanna Ditzel's greatest successes. Designed in 1993,
it has long since achieved the status of modern classic. The
distinctive chair takes its name from Trinidad, whose traditional
fretwork techniques inspired Ditzel.
The characteristic fan-shaped
carvings of seat and back produce a light, summery effect that
gracefully interacts with the light play in the room. The chair won the
1995 ID Prize. Trinidad is available with and without armrests and
comes in maple, cherry, beech, birch and walnut, as well as black and
white lacquer. The version without armrests is stackable. The Trinidad
chair is also available with an upholstered seat in fabric or leather.
