Fredrik Mattson The Black Chair Collection

The Black Chair collection a wooden chair – in whatever colour you wish.

We have enlisted the aid of history, following up leads and ideas all the way from the tomb of Tutankhamun to the late 1800s. Our ambition has been to interpret and analyse the associations, feelings and sensations that a wooden chair arouses. We hope our findings will help us to influence both consumers and industry alike – and hopefully reduce our exploitation of the natural resources to an absolute minimum.
