Frederic Sofia Luxembourg Chair
The exact reproduction of the armchair of the Jardins du Luxembourg
(created in 1923) is manufactured by FERMOB since 2000, on request of
the French Senate, the proprietor of the famous gardens. This armchair,
which had been so far made in steel, has been reinvented in a new
material - aluminium - after a thorough makeover made by the designer
Frederic Sofia.
Whilst keeping its classic design, this lighter version
of Luxembourg offers the added benefits of being entirely made in
aluminium, which makes it easier to handle and provides an unlimited
resistance to outdoor conditions. Easy to stack, the Luxembourg
armchair is exceptionally solid and therefore, suitable for use in
public spaces. The comfort of this low leisure armchair has been
enhanced by a range of multipurpose accessories. Available in the 13
FERMOB colors, the Luxembourg armchair allows new creative
interpretations in outdoor fittings.
