environments. Fun colors. Shells are available in 10 colors, frames in
4 colors. Design Story Designing the Limerick chair allowed Tom
Newhouse to exercise two of his passions: the study of emerging office
issues and the implementation of socially conscious, green design
concepts. He observed that office workers are increasingly using
temporary seating, so he made Limerick chairs light, stackable, and
easy to move. At the same time, Newhouse added the unexpected.
He
applied his industrial design expertise to make Limerick highly
ergonomic, a feature not always provided in side chairs. Limerick is
also 100 recyclable. Newhouse is committed to designing products and
utilizing manufacturing technologies that place the highest priority on
preserving the environment. "I have been passionate on this issue for
many years," he says, "and that's one reason why I love to work with
Herman Miller."
