Tadao Hoshino Aphrodite Drawers

The Aphrodite is a highly original piece with cantilevered drawers, giving the illusion of instability. The name of this piece is inspired by the numerous possibilities for creating a variety of effects when drawers are opened in different ways.

Available in 5- or 8-drawer versions, the bottom drawer on both versions is fixed to appropriately support the counterbalance (110 pounds in the 5-drawer model; 183 pounds in the 8-drawer model). Constructed of solid beech, the Aphrodite is available in natural-varnished light maple or walnut veneer finishes. Drawer interiors are in gloss white lacquer.
