Every room and environment has its own unique requirements, which may change over time. Open areas in modern architecture continuously give rise to new needs, and an increased desire to be able to divide spaces and dampen sound. With Airflake Stefan Borselius aimed to create a tool, a brush that could paint freely in the room, both on the walls and from the ceiling. A system with a host of possibilities, which retains the benefits of open-plan areas.

Airflake is made from sound-absorbent moulded felt, which has traditionally been used in the construction and automotive industries to dampen sound, for example.

The modular system is based on a hexagon in a number of colours and patterns which can be combined freely. Airflake can be hung in rows, groups or large quantities, it can form a wall or be mounted on the wall, on a straight or curved rail. The starting point for both patterns is the hexagon and circle, a mathematical game that creates an almost infinite number of possible patterns and variations.

The module is available in four different models: blade open, blade closed, line open and line closed. The felt surface is available in red, black, light grey, green and brown.
