In recent years, a number of dazzling Copenhagen restaurants have put Nordic cuisine on the gastronomic world map. Yet our gratitude to these metropolitan restaurants has nothing to do with food.
In line with several of these successful restaurants, Spine is anchored in Nordic tradition, but with an innovative, personal twist. The simple lines are classically Scandinavian, while the unorthodox details give the furniture a striking new expression. Despite the contrasting elements, the top and bottom still merge into an entity that is quite unique.
Space Copenhagen has indulged in quality materials that are handcrafted and give the series an authority that is striking and tangible.
Space Copenhagen was established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, both graduates of the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture. From the outset, they have been known for going against the flow and presenting designs with a very personal expression.
The projects they have embraced range from interior design to furniture and applied art, as well as installations and art direction. Their starting point often lies in seeking to combine elements that would not obviously match each other.
Space has undertaken interior design for some of the most prestigious restaurants in the world, as well as for Georg Jensen, Sony and Lagkagehuset, among others. The Spine collection is Space's first collaboration with Fredericia.

The Spine collection is made of a wooden frame and hand upholstered with leather or fabric. This collection is available in clear lacquered oak or black lacquered ash with black metal supports.
