THE STACKING BED. THE ORIGINAL.
It was back in 1966 that designer Rolf Heide came up with his ‚stackable daybed‘, which the ‚Schöner Wohnen‘ magazine rightly described as a modern classic. With a design that is as attractive as it is timeless, it is an item whose usefulness has made it a highly desirable piece of furniture for over 40 years and still now has a long future ahead of it. Wherever and whenever an extra bed is needed, the stackable daybed is immediately accessible, offering more comfort than many conventional beds, and taking up little space when stowed away. It is commonly found in guest bedrooms, bedsits, student rooms and children‘s bedrooms. Of all Rolf Heide‘s creations, the stackable daybed is the one that comes closest to representing his design credo: employing simple materials combined in a deceptively logical way and finished off with a single stroke of genius that gives the object its characteristic face – in this case the flowing rounded corners of the side sections. The bed was the first item in a series of useful and aesthetic furnishings for people who prefer a more mobile and unconventional style of living. This model was published in the ‚Brigitte‘ magazine, for which Heide has devised many practical fittings and furnishings over the years. Comprising four wooden sections, a roll-up slatted frame, and mattresses, it is also easy to package.

GROWING OLD TOGETHER
The stacked bed of Rolf Heide writes design history since 1966. Whether in the children‘s room, in the student flat share or in the guest-room – whenever an additional sleeping possibility is needed the stacked bed can be brought easily and comfortably in position. Now this modern classic is also available in dimensions and colours appropriate for children. Together with the stackable or growable box and cupboard system Müller Möbelwerkstätten offers a lot of flexibility on small space. Now we wish you a lot of fun with this catalogue and hope that it will be a source of inspiration for new, stimulating décor solutions.

COLOUR COMPOSITION
Sun yellow, sky blue and grass green – there is only one colour for children and that’s bright! Not only is our classic stacked bed the ideal companion in the kindergarden due to its stability and durability, but it also helps to create a cheerful atmosphere for the little ones through its wide range of colours.Due to its functional design the bed can be comfortably stacked on top of each other to give plenty of room for playing. At lunchtime they then convert back to individual beds and the border slat works as a practical fall out protection for the very small children. An optimal supplement to this would be the attachment cabinet system Modular: enabling almost limitless storage space due its wide range of combinations.

FUNCTIONALITY IN ITS PUREST FORM
Functionality in harmony with perfect design – offered with the stacked bed and modular construction kit system in pure white. The mattress and neckroll of the bed are upholstered in robust decorative fabric, which is available in many different colours. The clear lines and flexible forms of the furnishing systems are optimally suited to modern living and offer in particular a fusion of sleeping and living area comfort in highest standard: The wardrobe becomes an integrated elegant bookcase through the attachment system; the stacked bed becomes a generous double bed with a few minor adjustments and the bedside table with its rollers can be individually situated as required – the contemporary design allows perfect space management for every living situation.

NATURAL COMFORT
Naturalness reduced to maximum comfort and simply unbelievably practical – the stacked bed made from high quality beech plywood combines sleeping comfort with the look of a designer piece for the living- or bedroom. A large bed drawer and an aluminium shelf, which can be ordered separately, provides for ample storage space. The freestanding furniture of the modular range can also complement the advantages of the stacked bed: the wardrobe and the Lowboard, also made from natural beech plywood, can be arbitrarily extended using additional components. All modular furnishings are mounted on fixed plinths but can be ordered with rollers – allowing even the largest wardrobe to be moved easily.
