Lodovico Acerbis and Massimo Castagna New Concepts 2007 Cabinets
Specifically conceived to suit the great change in home entertainment electronic equipments and its integration, New Concepts is established as one of the most innovative cabinets on the market. First presented in 1999 and than developed in 2004, the collection is today at its third step of evolution.
The 2007 version, designed by Lodovico Acerbis with Massimo Castagna, raises from an attentive observation of the most recent evolutions of the electronic equipments and of the growing, and sometime aesthetically overwhelming, presence of technological devices in the house. Leading principle of the new development of the project is therefore the consideration that technology, nowadays more and more diffused in the house, shall be less invading, no longer exhibited or simply inserted, but integrated, concealed and friendly.
The new elements of New Concepts collection, are conceived to go beyond the traditional solutions, which allow to "place" or "hold" passively the electronic equipments. Not only cabinets that support or contain the technology, but a real integration, physical and aesthetical, of the audio-video devices, smartly hidden in the unit to surprisingly appear only when it is needed.
From a passive background element of the "scenography", the wall-unit becomes an active protagonist of the communication and home entertainment. Units transmitting images, hiding and integrating the screens. Units playing music with an absolutely astonishing sound quality, greatly higher than the one of a normal TV speaker. Pieces of furniture that conceal the most exclusive audio/video equipments, complying with the optimal use and operating conditions.
A total integration, so sophisticated to offer specifically designed loud speakers, engineered and produced for Acerbis by Diapason, an Italian producer leader in the manufacturing of hi-end loud speakers. Concealed in special side spaces, the loud speakers are designed in order to give the best performances into domestic interiors by using environmental reflections and granting an extraordinary "movie" result.
A step ahead in cabinets design, perfectly coherent with the identity of Acerbis International, always a very attentive and sensible precursor in the integration of new technologies with "new concepts" of home-furniture.
